Hillary, Chelsea, and Abortion

‘That’s a True Story’ “Chelsea Clinton is insulted by Bible-thumping evangelicals who question her family’s religion,” reports the New York Post’s Richard Johnson. Presumably Miss Clinton doesn’t have Madeleine Albright in mind:

One Democrat took notes at a recent fundraiser and shared Chelsea’s speech with me. . . . “I find it quite insulting sometimes when people say to my mom, my dad or me . . . that they question our faith. I was raised in a Methodist church and I left the Baptist church before my dad did, because I didn’t know why they were talking to me about abortion when I was 6 in Sunday school—that’s a true story.”
Assuming this is a “true story,” it’s reasonable to surmise that this year’s inevitable Democratic presidential nominee—pulled little Chelsea out of the Sunday school, and big Chelsea is telling the story now so as to bolster Mom’s pro-abortion reputation. Meanwhile, Politico reports that “leading members of the Congressional Black Caucus sharply criticized Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday”:
During an endorsement event for Hillary Clinton, African-American lawmakers said that Sanders, a democratic socialist from Vermont, does not have a history of activism for minorities that could rival Clinton’s. Georgia Rep. John Lewis, the last living member of the “Big Six” civil rights activists, said he never met Sanders during the tumultuous 1960s in the South. “To be very frank, I never saw him, I never met him,” said Lewis. “I chaired the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee for three years, from 1963 to 1966. I was involved in sit-ins, in the Freedom Rides, the March on Washington, the March from Selma to Montgomery . . . but I met Hillary Clinton.”
As we recall, Mrs. Clinton, then Miss Rodham, was a Goldwater girl in 1964.
