New MexiChords 2011 Christmas Season Events

The New MexiChords' Christmas show came in early December. The full chorus sang, as well as several quartets and two VLQs (Very Large Quartets).

As you can see from this picture, taken during the show, we had a lot of fun.

As our guests on this year's Christmas show, we hosted the El Dorado Concert Choir, from Albuquerque's El Dorado High School. Those kids sounded great!

Like other groups we've seen recently, this concert choir has been taught in the barbershop way — knowing the music and singing a cappella. It was a highlight for use singing with them in a joint finale.

About a week later, we were the guests, as we sang with the UNM-Valencia Campus on their show. More fun with more good singers.

To close out the season, the New MexiChords sang at the Albuquerque BioPark for two nights of their River of Lights program. It was chilly and parking is an issue there (and one of the two nights was wet), but it was fun for us and for those who heard us — and some of them sang with us, too!

If you enjoy barbershop style music, watch for our next show and come hear us sing.
Or come sing with us. It's really fun!

The New MexiChords is an a cappella barbershop chorus in Albuquerque, New Mexico, affiliated with the Barbershop Harmony Society.
